Paintsmiths visit Heron Road

The Scaffolding recently came down on a new mural from Paintsmiths which, for this work, was Felix and Jack Tiernay for Bristol City Council and the Warm Up Bristol Campaign show home over at 56 Heron Road, Easton, BS5.

The mural itself is a stunning piece of work showing off the house itself and lots of examples of the old types of energy and the new sustainable energies that are now available.

Girl with a Pearl Earring by Banksy

While out on one of my walks I came across this today and it would seem  to be a new Banksy piece of work of “The girl with the pearl earring”, by the Dutch painter Johannes Vermeer, down by the docks near Hanover Place.

At the time I thought it was just a great piece of art and I just took my photos as normal only to find out a bit later on that it was by Banksy when I posted it on my Facebook page.

Banksy title for the piece is “Girl with a Pierced Eardrum”

Media, please direct your photo enquiries here.

Zase and The Kings Arms, Whiteladies Road

Recently Andyman Zase did a new piece that took 3 days to complete on the garden wall of the Kings Arms, Whiteladies road and I was around to photograph it, these are some of the photos I managed to get.
So a big thank you to Alison the owner of the kings Arms for all her hospitality and help and of course Zase for his patience and time!

Dan Kitchener

I had the good fortune to watch and photograph  Dan Kitchener paint his new piece for Upfest on the Masonic Pub on North Street, Bedminster this week.

Dan was up in Bristol for a show he was involved with alongside Dale Grimshaw at the Upfest gallery called Neon Knights, well worth catching if you can!

Duke of York Pub

Owners Carmel and Yosh Coe of the Duke of York pub in St Werburghs had a competition to find an artist to design and paint the side of the Duke of York pub, which was won by Alex Mack, an Illustrator from Cambridge.

This new mural takes inspiration from the grand old Duke of York nursery rhyme and looks stunning!

I was very fortunate to have followed Alex’s progress over the weeks with her painting and getting to know Alex a little bit and it’s great to see the finished piece which was unveiled yesterday as well as the new pub sign designed by Ben Boston which really works well with Alex’s work.
